Will I get in
The programme has an admission restriction: the average grade of your certificate, converted to the German scale, decides. The cut-off changes every year — last year's value shows the order of magnitude, not a promise.
How the selection works and how strong the competition is — we go through it against your certificate when we select programmes for you.
Programme selection →About the programme
We live in a globally interconnected world, where international relations are key to the success of most businesses. Many companies operate across borders and have worldwide branch offices as well as cooperation partners. Raw materials are imported from abroad and goods are produced in foreign countries. Global business therefore needs qualified specialists who are able to confidently move on international terrain, work on international teams and have excellent English language skills. Our degree programme Global Business and Economics is taught strictly in English and is oriented towards an international professional career after graduation. Students acquire fundamental and practice-oriented knowledge of economic sciences, e.g. in marketing, finance, economics, or business taxation, and all of this in an international and global context. The curriculum is supplemented by social competences and further foreign language courses. Over the course of study, students can select specialisation modules from a comprehensive catalogue, such as International Management Training or International Economics, thereby deciding where to lay their individual focus. In the fifth or sixth semester, students have the opportunity to study abroad for an additional semester. They can choose among more than 90 partner universities worldwide where they can deepen their intercultural competencies.
What you study
During the first three semesters of your studies, you acquire fundamental knowledge about business and economics, as well as Finance, Marketing, Financial Accounting and Human Resource Management or Business Taxation.
The full curriculum and the programme's parameters are part of programme selection: we compare them with your profile.
Pick programmesCareer
After completing the degree programme Global Business and Economics, graduates can start a career in a wide range of different occupational fields, both nationally and internationally. Depending on the chosen specialisations, they can find jobs in different sectors of the industry. Whether it is in Human Resource Management, Operations Management, or Managerial Accounting - due to a broad knowledge of business and economics, and an excellent command of English, graduates are eminently suitable for the international labour market. They will quickly find their way in an international team and they will be able to understand the overall scheme of things in companies that operate all around the world.
