International Degree Programme in Business Administration and Engineering, B.Eng.
Modern, customer-oriented and international forms of organization, in which work areas are designed to span products, countries and functions, interrelationships between technology and business, and processes with a high degree of division of labor, make interfaces increasingly complex in companies. To coordinate, control and bridge these interfaces, comprehensive specialist knowledge, an understanding of the different technical languages and ways of thinking of engineers and economists as well as the ability for intercultural communication and leadership are required.

How the selection works and how strong the competition is — we go through it against your certificate when we select programmes for you.
Programme selection →What you study
Strong interdependencies between engineering and the economy, and the development of work processes with a high division of labour in all areas of the economy lead to ever more complex problems in the relationship between engineering and business. In addition to knowledge of the subject matter itself, it is also necessary to understand the specialist language used by engineers and business managers and also how they think. This requirement becomes even more important when looking at how the rigid structures of some companies can be turned into flexible, international and customer-oriented organisations, ones in which the fields of work can be designed to transcend specialist fields, countries and functions.

The course’s solid coverage of business matters means graduates of this course will demonstrate the same level of ability in these areas as a straight business graduate. Industrial engineers are traditionally employed in industry.

They are typically involved with the process functions of product development and marketing, like purchasing and inventory management, production and sales/ customer consulting as well as company-wide fields like organisation management, personnel, data processing, logistics, accounting/controlling, and quality and environmental management. Industrial engineering graduates who complete an international course will have double the competitive advantage in these increasingly globalised specialist fields and functions. The ever burgeoning costs and the hunger for profits of transnational and technologically orientated service companies - working in anything from traffic management, communications, energy production and supply, to water supply and sanitation – mean the demand for industrial engineers who have completed this course is also increasing. Furthermore, the interdisciplinary strengths of industrial engineers make them particularly suited for the large and expanding field of management consultancy.

How to apply
You can submit the application yourself or with our help — the university decides on admission in both cases.
Applications go through the university's portal or uni-assist. Typical mistakes:
- ×incorrectly made certified copies and translations
- ×a wrong set of documents
- ×the application submitted the wrong way
- ×errors or gaps in the application form
- ×the application submitted at the wrong time — too early or too late
An incomplete or incorrectly prepared application is excluded from the selection — it can no longer be corrected after the deadline.
StudyInFocus does not represent the university and does not influence the admission decision. We do not sell study places and do not guarantee admission — this is a service for preparing and submitting documents on the applicant's side.
If your level is not enough yet
The two most common stoppers are a language level below the requirement and a certificate without direct admission. Both can be solved, but they take months — plan them now, not after a rejection.
