IT security as a course of study in computer science intensifies the students' knowledge mainly in technical areas such as hardware and system security, network security, cryptographic algorithms and protocols and secure programming. In doing so, theory and practice are meaningfully combined. Data protection as well as management aspects, e.g. IT security and service management. In elective subjects, current IT security topics are taken up and deepened.

What you study
Study period
The bachelor's program is divided into three semesters of undergraduate studies and four semesters of undergraduate studies. The internship semester takes place in a company in Germany or abroad. In the 7th semester the bachelor thesis is written.
