The test consists of two written parts:
1) Completion test: You will be given three short non-fictional texts on different topics that contain 75 incomplete words that need to be completed
(Processing time: 30 minutes).
2) Graph Evaluation: You will be presented with a number of different statements about one or more graphs. You should tick whether these statements are correct, incorrect or cannot be derived from the graphic

The assessment test consists of
- a written exam in German that meets the requirements of the German language exam for university admission (DSH-2 or DSH-3), and
- One written exam each in two compulsory subjects of the chosen major course.
The written exams last at least two and a half and at most four hours per subject.
Additional oral exams will be scheduled if this is necessary for the final assessment or for passing the entire exam.
The assessment test can be repeated once.

How to apply
You cannot apply directly for the preparatory college at Freie Universität. You must applyvia Uni-Assist for a course you wish to study. With Uni-Assist, the submitted university entrance qualification (HZB) is checked as part of your application. If you do not have a direct university entrance qualification for your studies, Uni-Assist will check whether the qualification for the preparatory college is sufficient.

- ✓Confirmation that the certificate does not give direct university access
- ✓German certificate, level B2
- ✓Passport; for the visa — proof of funds
How to apply

The application goes to a partner university of the college, for the bachelor's programme you want to study later; the university sends it on to the college.
