About the method

The tasks were written by StudyInFocus after the level descriptions of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR / GER). It is not an exam and not a certificate: the test shows an approximate level to choose a course. The time estimate follows the Goethe-Institut's guide of about 150 lessons per level.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the test?
20 tasks give an orientation to within one level. Admission requires an official certificate: TestDaF, DSH, telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule or Goethe-Zertifikat C1.
