The bachelor programmes are aimed at providing solid, fundamental academic knowledge of concepts and their application. The master programmes are marked by their orientation towards research.

Regardless of course of study, all students are taught contents beyond their field and faculty and obtain insight into economics, computer science, engineering, and psychology. Not only do students benefit from the excellent student-faculty ratio and the favorable costs of living in Chemnitz, but also from the particular profile of the Faculty of Humanities: contemporary relevance with a historical conscience, connected to the region and linked to the world.

Along with group projects, individual research remains an important area. They are members of important scientific and editorial boards and aim to share their expertise with the wider public. The faculty members’ shared commitment to address contemporary challenges and questions with a historical awareness of their formation shapes their teaching and the qualifications of our alumni. The close vicinity of the MINT-department on campus is also reflected in the curricula of the Faculty of Humanities.
