Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology

Fakultät für Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology engages in engineering, research, technical development and production technology for electrically controlled devices or processes. Information technology forms the interface to computer science. Research focuses, for example, on medical technology, in which new and innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for the medicine of the future are developed, and on the regenerative energies that provide international project opportunities. In teaching, the faculty offers electrical engineering courses as well as training courses in mechatronics, medical technology as well as system technology and technical cybernetics. The faculty offers a wide range of modern and interdisciplinary courses, some of which are offered in close cooperation with other faculties of the Otto von Guericke University. Through intensive networking with other disciplines, the faculty faces the challenges of a modern information society.
