Tasks:
- Head of the trade fair department at the Freiburg exhibition center
- Development and implementation of the departmental goals in coordination with the management
- Further development and expansion of the existing event portfolio and new formats
- Optimization and control of procedures and processes, responsibility for quality assurance
- Representation of the department towards partners and committees
- Technical and disciplinary responsibility for around 40 employees
- Responsible for budget planning and monitoring
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in the trade fair industry as well as management experience in a comparable position
- Understanding of operational and commercial relationships, meaningful work processes and procedures
- Conceptual and analytical thinking, strategic thinking
- Hands-on mentality paired with the ability to identify changes and develop innovative solutions
- Decision-making skills, negotiating skills and assertiveness
- Cooperative leadership style that challenges and encourages
- Very good knowledge of Office applications and a good understanding of event-specific software and communication systems
