Landscape Ecologist in Germany
Landscape ecologists take on tasks in landscape and nature conservation management. They develop concepts for landscape ecology, map and evaluate biotopes and organize or monitor measures to protect them. In protected areas, on agricultural land or in residential areas, they monitor local biodiversity and analyze water and soil samples. They also draw up usage and settlement development plans and carry out environmental impact assessments. Landscape ecologists also develop concepts for nature-based, "soft" tourism or for planning and implementing measures in the field of environmental education.
