Statutory health insurance for students
To enrol at a university you need health insurance. Students under 30 are usually insured with a statutory fund on the student tariff: it is set by law, and the funds differ in their additional contribution and service.
- ✓The fund sends the proof of insurance to the university electronically — without it there is no enrolment
- ✓The student tariff runs until the end of the semester in which you turn 30
- ✓You can opt out in favour of private insurance — but then you cannot return until the end of your studies
Arranging insurance through us is free: the insurers pay us as their agent, the statutory funds through a licensed broker. Your tariff stays the same, and this does not affect the selection.
