The Chemistry bachelor's program at the University of Duisburg-Essen is a six-semester, German-taught single-subject degree based at Campus Essen. It provides broad training across the core fields of chemistry, combines theory with laboratory work, and prepares students both for entry-level employment and for the consecutive M.Sc. in Chemistry.
The program is designed as a concentrated foundation degree. The first four semesters focus on the core areas of chemistry together with mathematics and physics. The fifth and sixth semesters provide a more research-oriented, application-oriented and career-oriented deepening through elective modules. The program ends with the bachelor project.
