The Pharmacy State Examination program at the University of Regensburg provides a strong scientific and medical education focused on medicines, their development, production, effects and safe use. The program combines chemistry, biology, pharmacology, clinical pharmacy and extensive laboratory practice and leads to pharmacist licensure through three state examinations.
The program is regulated nationwide by the German licensing regulations for pharmacists and is divided into a basic stage, an advanced stage and a practical year. The basic stage focuses on scientific foundations. The advanced stage deepens pharmaceutical, clinical and legal knowledge. The practical year prepares students for the profession and for the third part of the Pharmaceutical Examination.
