The "Industrial Engineering" course, which the then Technical University of Berlin introduced as the first German university in 1926, is profile-forming for Faculty VII. Today the course is one of the most renowned of its kind in Germany. By combining economics and law with engineering, generalists are trained who have solid know-how in both areas and are in high demand on the national and international labor market. Graduates of the faculty have excellent career opportunities.

The training is supported by the Center of Knowledge Interchange (CKI), which is located at the faculty. With suitable learning methods, students are taught important skills and knowledge such as communication, integration and planning skills as well as internationality and entrepreneurial thinking. In addition, students have the opportunity to gain practical experience through internships and diploma theses in the companies, to establish contacts and thus prepare for starting their careers.

The “Center for Entrepreneurship” at TU Berlin is also closely linked to the faculty. It should not only support entrepreneurial knowledge scientifically, but also flow into the courses on offer.

In addition to the renowned Bachelor's and Master's degree in "Industrial Engineering", Faculty VII offers the Bachelor's degree in "Economics", the Master's degree in "Industrial and Networks Economics" and the master's degree in "Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship", which is carried out as a dual degree with the University of Twente.
