The Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Management Sciences at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences are characterized by a wide range of options. Since its founding in 1995, the self-image of the Department of Economics at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences has been based on the idea of building bridges between scientific findings and practical fields of action. The aim is to develop and promote (the ability) of our students to become qualified, critical and responsible managers who can independently develop and represent problem solutions. In addition to imparting specialist knowledge, strengthening the action competence as well as the personal development of the students is very important to us.
Likewise - derived from the requirements of practice - internationality is also the focus of research and teaching in our department. In this way, we strengthen the intercultural competence of students and teachers and support the acquisition of foreign language skills as well as international mobility. The Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and the Department of Economics are extremely well positioned thanks to above-average performance in the relevant university rankings, and the range of measures to increase the quality of teaching and research and in student support has been constantly expanded.
In addition, the department is developing its own, application-oriented research profile in the area of sustainable corporate development. Increased cooperation with economic players from the region ensures close integration and mutual knowledge transfer between the department and the region.
