The faculty offers a broad study and research environment for more than 1,500 students in chemistry, pharmacy, business chemistry and chemistry teacher education. Its academic structure includes institutes in analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical and theoretical chemistry, and pharmacy, supported by central facilities and faculty administration.
Research at the faculty spans mechanistic and structural chemistry, photo-electro-catalysis, sustainable chemistry, medicinal chemistry including natural compounds, bioanalysis and biosensors, as well as chemistry education research.
