A core element of the course is a one-year study and internship phase in one of the three target regions: the Arab world, China or Japan. During the year abroad in the fifth and sixth semester, you will gain insights into the working practices of companies, authorities or international organizations and get to know the cultural characteristics of the country.

The strong practical orientation is one of the success factors of the AWS degree program. Your teachers have consistently gained practical experience in business, politics or administration and will pass on their experience to you.

This expertise is supplemented by lectures by high-ranking practitioners who will provide you with the latest know-how from the international corporate world. The knowledge and skills that you acquire in the first four semesters are applied and deepened during the one-year stay abroad in the target region.

After their stay abroad, some students decide to build on the experience gained during their internship abroad with their bachelor thesis.
