The central content of architecture is the design, creation and construction of buildings. Architects are responsible for a construction process that requires in-depth knowledge and clear judgment about material and construction, use and effects, management and economy, sustainability and acceptance.
In the bachelor's degree in architecture, students get to know the basic concepts of architecture and construction, including the development of analog and digital representation techniques as well as the basics of construction, construction theory, architectural history and urban planning. Understanding planning processes and forms of participation is just as much a part of the subject as learning the basics of land use and development planning. The course prepares you for the consideration and coordination of different subject plans.

- Der B.Sc. Architektur ist ein berufsbefähigender Studiengang, der die Mitarbeit in Architektur- und Planungsbüros, Immobilien- und Bauwirtschaft, in gehobener Funktion in der öffentlichen Verwaltung sowie weiteren interdisziplinären Arbeitsfeldern ermöglicht.
- Der Studienabschluss bildet die Voraussetzung für einen weiterführenden Masterstudiengang in Architektur oder vergleichbarer Fachrichtung, durch den erst der Eintrag in berufsständische Kammern ermöglicht wird.

Учебный план программы обучения "Architecture"
The bachelor's degree in architecture provides a sound basic knowledge of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the areas of history and theory, design and representation, construction and technology as well as application in the form of practice and research-oriented study projects.
In the module interactions, the application is practiced in parallel to the imparting of basic knowledge in the courses, in cooperation between the teaching areas. From the 5th semester onwards, you can choose from a wide range of elective modules in order to focus on individual interests. The examinations are accompanying the course in the form of exercises, exams, project drafts and presentations. The course ends with the bachelor thesis.

In the research focus Habitats of the Future / Future Habitats, interdisciplinarity is the basis for reflection and innovation in construction, as well as in relation to biodiversity and the climate crisis in urban and rural areas.

The selection decision is based on a procedural grade that results from the university entrance qualification in combination with the subject grades in the subjects German, mathematics and English.
If English has not been taken by the end of the course, the subject grade of the foreign language that has been taken the longest will be taken as the basis
The procedural grade for the bachelor's degree is determined from:
- Average grade = 70%
- German = 10%
- Math grade = 10%
- English grade, otherwise another foreign language = 10%
