Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Architecture"

With the achievement of the bachelor's degree, a career entry should be possible in a short time. The completed bachelor’s degree enables students to acquire the skills and abilities required for professional professional practice in the respective professional fields in a supplementary training either in a master’s degree or in business ("learning on the job"). If the direct route to professional practice is chosen, then a supplementary in-service further qualification through suitable further training measures is to be aimed for. The bachelor's degree also allows you to easily switch between universities in the international arena and to switch to related or complementary courses of study. With a subsequent master’s degree in architecture or sustainable design, an internationally recognized, professional qualification (chamber qualification) can be obtained.

The graduates are able to carry out basic architecture-specific activities largely independently and in some cases on their own responsibility. These include:

• Creation of concepts, studies and drafts
• Design, design and construction of buildings with a simple level of difficulty in the context of city and landscape
• Preparation of design and implementation plans with a simple level of difficulty
• Contribute to the preparation of the implementation

Architects in particular have a social responsibility for the design of the built environment, including the aesthetic, atmospheric, functional, economic and ecological implications. During their university studies, they learn and develop the necessary level of knowledge, creativity, drive, ability to cooperate and a willingness to take responsibility for this range of tasks.

The well-known and recognized profile of the Braunschweig School is taken up and further developed in the Bachelor's degree courses in Architecture and Architecture + and in the Master's degree in Architecture. The focus is on imparting design skills. This includes the intellectual skills of critical analysis, evaluation and comparison as well as the basic skill for artistic and creative discussion.

Like all undergraduate courses at the TU Braunschweig, the bachelor courses are also designed towards the university bachelor degree. The skills acquired are relevant to the labor market so that employability is achieved. However, the knowledge and skills acquired are not sufficient for fully independent work in architecture and planning offices or other professional fields. This requires further qualification, which can be achieved as part of a consecutive master’s degree.

Qualification goals of the Bachelor's degree in Architecture

The bachelor's degree in architecture is a basic training for university architects. It is aimed at acquiring knowledge and skills across the entire spectrum of the subject of architecture and is therefore aimed at training to become a generalist. This includes historical-cultural knowledge, artistic-creative abilities, technical-constructive knowledge as well as competence in architectural and urban planning. This includes the respective subject-specific methods and skills as well as professional and interdisciplinary qualifications. Graduates can be used flexibly. They are able to find employment in all subject-related occupational fields. The artistic, engineering and humanities skills acquired in the bachelor's degree in architecture create a suitable basis for the consecutive master's degree.
