The two chairs of art history have been integrated into the "Institute for Archeology, Monuments and Art History (IADK)" since the winter semester of 2008/09, which offers unique opportunities for interdisciplinary connection with its Fächerverband. Another special feature of art history in Bamberg is the practice-oriented orientation of teaching and research.

Weber, Senior Director of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. They regularly host events, some of which take place in Bamberg, some in the museums and collections they run. The offer is supplemented by one- and multi-day excursions and teaching assignments, which focus on the practice of originals and a strong practical relevance.
