In the exciting world of artificial intelligence, you will learn to programme computers so that they can make independent decisions and perform tasks that are normally done by humans. As a student on the Artificial Intelligence degree programme you will acquire the specialist knowledge required to build AI systems. In the beginning, the programme covers basic topics such as mathematics, programming, algorithms and data structures, operating systems, networks and databases. As you progress, you will explore complex AI topics such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, big data, deep learning, autonomous robotics and computational logic.

In the future, all economic and service sectors will need support from artificial intelligence in order to remain competitive and assert themselves in their market segments. This development, but also, for example, the investments by the federal and state governments in the national AI strategy amounting to more than 4 billion euros testify to the enormous prospects that the job market offers you. The target companies for you as a graduate of the AI course basically come from all industries, but especially from the software industry. Examples of applications of artificial intelligence include automated driving, smart home, facial recognition, music streaming, medical diagnoses, navigation, human robots or digital voice assistants. You can work anywhere here. But this course of study also prepares you for self-employment or work in applied research and development in the areas mentioned. Your specific tasks will vary accordingly - developing algorithms for artificial intelligence, creating the data basis, evaluating and analyzing data or advising other companies. In large companies, your area of responsibility can be more differentiated, while in small companies you take on several sub-tasks at the same time.

With the AI course you acquire data skills, analysis skills and technology skills. You can develop, master and adapt AI systems. The backbone of the Artificial Intelligence degree program consists of eleven core computer science subjects. The THD offers you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in important AI application areas such as healthcare, mobility, energy management, production, services or gaming.
