Описание программы обучения "Automation and Robotics"

Through its research, our faculty actively shapes the current future areas of "Industry 4.0", "Cyber-Physical Systems" and the "Energiewende". The faculty realizes its high level of research through a strong networking of the competences of science and industry on a national and international level.

The research activities of our faculty are incorporated directly into the courses offered. The challenging course program developed by us together with four other faculties from the natural and engineering sciences of the TU Dortmund enables you to develop your strengths and thus give your own profile in one of three Major Fields:

  • Cognitive Systems,
  • Process Automation,
  • Robotics.

Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Automation and Robotics"

Comprehensive and up-to-date professional knowledge, skills and methods, flexible options for choosing a course, practice-oriented components such as the project group and a very good supervision in the study program qualify our Master's graduates for the responsible implementation of engineering activities in industry and commerce and create the prerequisites for further education scientific qualification, eg the promotion.

Учебный план программы обучения "Automation and Robotics"

In the first semester, the prerequisites for the further semesters are created with the Mandatory Courses and the Matlab Internship. In the 2nd and 3rd semester the subject specialization can be chosen in the elective modules. The project group will deal with a large scientific and technical problem within a set deadline in a group. In the 4th semester, following the compulsory optional subjects, the Master's thesis is written in the chosen specialization.

Due to the flexibility in the Master's program Automation and Robotics, it is possible at any time, e.g. to plan a stay abroad in your studies.

Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
    TU Dortmund University

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology focusses on “Electrical Power Engineering” and “Information and Communication Technology”.

Both research areas are characterized by their strongly interconnected competences in electrical engineering and information technology. A modern technical system is mostly based on a functional and spatial integration of several knowledge fields. This is illustrated e.g. in energy technology with decentralized, but interconnected sources and sinks, in communication technology in the field of wireless data transfer or in modern vehicles with increasing interconnection at the actuator and sensor level.

Through its research the faculty actively shapes the current future oriented sectors “Industry 4.0”, “Cyber-Physical Systems” and the renewable energy transition. Research linking energy technology and communication technology is an important and unique characteristic at this faculty. Its high research standard reaches the faculty through intensive national as well as international cooperation and a tight collaboration with other faculties of TU Dortmund University. Furthermore the faculty is strongly involved in joint projects with partners from the industry. A team of 140 researchers work at the different chairs, research groups and institutes. In cooperation with external partners from industry and research they are involved in shared projects and working on a wide spectrum of current scientific questions.
