With your degree, you will be a true all-rounder at a vehicle manufacturer, supplier or mobility service provider thanks to your technical and business skills. You can work across the entire value chain, i.e. from product development to production and logistics to sales and after-sales. You are a specialist at the interface where technical knowledge and commercial skills need to be coordinated, and can therefore quickly take on tasks in project management, management or business consulting.

Basic internship

Before the start of the practical semester, i.e. before the course or during the first semester break, you will complete a 6-week basic internship in a company and gain your first practical insights into the automotive industry. On request, you can be exempted from the basic internship in whole or in part, for example if you have a technical college degree or relevant vocational training.

Practical semester

You can complete the practical semester in either the fourth or sixth semester. It covers a continuous period of 20 weeks in a company. Here you can demonstrate your skills in industry on an interesting project and make valuable contacts for your career. In addition, you will attend practical courses.

Projects

The course is strongly practice- and project-oriented and is therefore specifically geared towards the requirements of professional practice. You will work on the vehicle from the first semester and will work on several projects alone or in a team over the course of your studies. In addition, you will complete various internships in modern laboratories and workshops in parallel to the lectures. There will also be specific projects with partners from industry that will create valuable contacts for starting your career. The strong practical and project-based focus of the course will promote your skills in project and process management as well as your team and communication skills, thus preparing you optimally for the demands of the modern working world.

CAT-Racing

Students at the university construct their own racing car, which they use to compete against teams from other universities on international race tracks in the "Formula Student" competition. CAT-Racing always achieves top placings. You too can become part of the team, prepare for your future professional life and, above all, have a lot of fun.
