Стажировки и практика в программе обучения "Aviation Management"

For the regular students, practical phases are also planned during the course of studies, which correspond to those of the dual students in terms of time and content. The main difference to the variant with cooperation partner lies in the fact that several companies can be met during the individual practical phases and, for example, a different company can be found for each individual practical phase. This enables an insight into different areas and areas of application. According to the student account regulation of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, there are no tuition fees for either model.

Учебный план программы обучения "Aviation Management"

The bachelor's degree is structured modularly. A module is a group of individual subjects that are coordinated in terms of content and time and form a self-contained, testable study unit with credit points. Each module is usually completed with a module examination. The course is successfully completed when all module exams have been passed.

The individual subjects and modules are provided with credit points (CP for short). These are credit units that are acquired in university education through certificates of achievement. They are intended to ensure that the performance of students at universities in the European Higher Education Area is comparable.

The course content is divided into three subject groups (196 CP without thesis and colloquium):

  • General Management Modules
  • Tourism, Travel and Aviation Management Modules
  • Management Skills

In addition, there is the thesis and a colloquium (14 CP) at the end of the course, which also covers general management, travel & amp; Tourism Management or Aviation Management should be linked.

The Management in Practice module describes the practical phases in which the students are in the company and are supposed to deepen and apply the knowledge acquired during their studies in practice. In addition, the modules Advanced Management in Practice and the Elective Seminar Aviation Management offer opportunities to take up and work on topics from cooperation partners. The module handbook provides more information on the individual modules, the number of hours per week in the semester and the CP.

Private pilot license

The operator of the Worms airfield supports students in finding the right flight school on the site. This means that - outside of the curriculum - the mostly "flight enthusiastic" students of the Aviation Management course also have the opportunity to take flight lessons and complete training to become a private pilot (private pilot license, PPL).

At the Worms airfield, interested commercial flight schools have training opportunities available through the aviation clubs, where licenses for gliding and microlight flights to motorized helicopter flights can be acquired. Together with Flugplatz GmbH Worms, “trial flight days” are also planned for students of the “Aviation Management” course.
