For an expanding market, economy and industry will in future be in increasing need of skills in the prevention and wellness areas. People’s stress is increasing just like the number of elderly and old people and the duration of occupational disability up to retirement age. Everybody wishes to keep or regain health as a valuable possession. Growing concern about a healthy life-style will become even more significant in future. The need for peace and rest and regeneration of the body in suitable surroundings within a short time, matched with personal needs, will grow just like the demand for appropriate offers for prevention, for suitable recommendations for a healthy diet, for suitable cosmetic products and medication which are available without prescription. With all these wishes, the budget must not be disregarded. In order to exist as company on a growing market of health products and offers, employees with profound knowledge in theory and practice in the field of natural sciences, nutrition and health are needed. The degree course Bio Science and Health imparts a broad, interdisciplinary expertise which spans the natural sciences, nutritional science, mental and physical health, fitness, business management and communication. This profound expertise qualifies our graduates for a wide range of career paths and sectors, from product development and distribution in the chemical and cosmetic industries, to management positions in health-related organisations and institutions. Potential areas of employment for graduates are:- Production, R&D or distribution of suitable chemical in the chemical and cosmetic industries
- Laboratory assistant in physics or biology
- Preventative care and public health counselling
- Health-related tourism
