Ожидаемые результаты программы обучения "Business Administration"
The goal of the Bachelor's programme in Business Administration is to train students in three areas of expertise. These are:
- academic expertise, by mastering the basic theory and tools of business administration;
- practical expertise, i.e. the ability to apply the specialized expertise the student acquires; as well as
- interdisciplinary expertise and key qualifications, which serve to help contend with constantly changing requirements of the professional environment, both in theory and in practice.
Solid academic training as well as more practical content is highly valued at the School of Business and Economics. The international orientation of the course material, the availability of lectures and seminars in English and the option of spending a semester abroad prepare students for an increasingly international and dynamic working environment.
The voluntary interdisciplinary certificate which is awarded for the special program in "Law and Economics" allows students to acquire the legal knowledge they need for many areas, both theoretical and practical.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration trains students for jobs in the private sector, including the industrial, retail and service sectors, as well as in the public sector and in associations. Graduates of the degree have the option of continuing to a Master's programme.
Graduates who choose to enter the working world right away should take advantage of the numerous projects, events and initiatives offered by the School of Business and Economics and Marburg University to teach important soft skills, provide practical working experience and help students with the application process and the job search. These can be found, e.g. at the Career Center of the School of Business and Economics, the Student Initiatives, or the University’s Career Center.

Students will be taught extensive and detailed theoretical knowledge of economics with practical relevance, supplemented by interactive exercises based on case studies. Alongside your studies, you will make practical experiences: The Career Center helps students search for a suitable internship. Courses such as the "internship module" serve to maintain a focus on real challenges in professional practice. In addition, the key qualifications module provides an opportunity to earn credits through practical work, e.g. by participating in the student council or through courses in soft skills. The 6-semester, academically-based Bachelor's programme in Business Administration, culminating in the award of a Bachelor of Science degree (a total of 180 credits), conveys the key principles of value-based corporate management. By studying business administration, you will learn to describe, explain and independently shape corporate structures, processes and decision-making processes. Setting emphases, individual and structured electives and optional study abroad allow personal accentuation of your profile. You can declare focus areas in "accounting and finance", "market-oriented management" and "innovation and information".
Personal contact is very important to us: In the integration module, students get to know some of the professors right at the beginning of their degree. Seminars with small groups help students improve their ability to compose well-structured, academically solid texts and prepare for the requirements of the Bachelor thesis, as well as those of the professional world.

Philipps-Universität MarburgThe School of Business & Economics offers its students a theoretically-sound education based upon problem-solving using basic and applied research. Rooted in the economic region of Hesse, the School’s research and teaching are internationally oriented and widely networked. The focus is on institutional economics and corporate governance as well as innovative value creation and entrepreneurship. The activities of the Marburg researchers are conducted within the "Marburg Centre for Institutional Economics" (MACIE) and the "Research Group for Innovative Value Creation and Entrepreneurship" (GIVE).
