Business administration (BWL) comprises, describes and analyzes tasks and structures of the companies and their functional areas, cross-functional relationships of companies and their design depending on internal and external decisions as well as interdependencies between the system of the company and other systems. As with the related course in economics, business administration at the Free University of Berlin implements high academic standards in theory and methodology, without neglecting the practical relevance. Mathematics and statistics are considered auxiliary sciences. During the course, students learn the basics of economics, law, mathematics and statistics.

Учебный план программы обучения "Business Administration"

The mono-Bachelor course comprises modules of the basic and advanced phase as well as the general vocational preparation (ABV). The basic phase of the mono-Bachelor course is divided into modules of general business administration, quantitative foundations of business administration, basics of economics and law for economists. In the deepening phase, the focus is on four of 13 selectable majors. At the end of the course, the exemplary deepening and differentiation of a chosen field of study takes place through the independent scientific development of a problem of your choice (Bachelor thesis). The general vocational preparation (ABV) study area includes an internship as well as the following areas of competence: foreign languages, information and media skills, gender & diversity skills, organizational and management skills, personal and social-communicative skills and subject-related additional qualifications, in which additional professional knowledge and skills are imparted become. The goals, content and structure of the general vocational preparation course are regulated in separate study and examination regulations for the general vocational preparation course (ABV) for bachelor's programs in the economics department. The course regulations regulate the structure and course of the course. It contains detailed descriptions of the content and qualification goals of each individual module and an exemplary course plan. The examination regulations define the type and requirements of the examination performance of the modules. The regulations indicate the credit points (LP) for each module or event as well as the workload in hours for the entire course.
