The Business Administration Bachelor course prepares students for work in various areas of an industrial and commercial enterprise, such as human resources, procurement, distribution or administration.
Our graduates often work in marketing, accounting and controlling, in logistics or in the field of trade fairs. Diverse applications are also to be found in the banking and insurance industry, with financial service providers, in corporate and tax consultancy as well as in auditing; finally, also in the public service.
The study of business administration at the HTWK Leipzig offers graduates excellent perspectives: for a successful start into professional life as well as for a further academic qualification, for example as part of a master's program at the HTWK Leipzig, elsewhere in Germany or abroad.

The HTWK Leipzig is networked with around 100 partner universities in more than 30 countries. For this program the 3rd and 5th semester are recommended for a stay abroad. An internship abroad is also possible.Учебный план программы обучения "Business Administration"
Due to the fully modular structure of the study, the student gets the possibility of a revealing, individual design according to his interests. This applies both to the situation and to the content of the courses. Recommendations are given in the standard study plan, which, if complied with, also guarantees the professional qualification within the defined period of six semesters. The compulsory modules ensure the qualification-oriented knowledge base for the generalist study program. The elective modules give the students opportunities for individual profiling. Leipzig University of Applied SciencesOur educational focus is on business and management experience with business practice placed firmly at the heart of our studies.
Currently, about 700 students are studying at the faculty. The faculty has a total of 40 members of staff with 23 professors, 5 external teachers and 12 support and technical personnel.
The faculty currently offers undergraduate Bachelor programs in Business Administration, International Management, and Civil Engineering and Business Administration. Furthermore, the faculty also offers graduate Master programs in Business Administration, Civil Engineering and Business Administration and General Management.

All Bachelor programs at the HTWK Leipzig are restricted.
The allocation of study places takes place directly at the HTWK Leipzig (local number clausus) on the basis of the admission-legal regulations. After deduction of the places for applicants with admission to service and for foreign applicants (except EU and Bildungsinländer), second-degree applicants and hardship cases, the remaining places will be awarded after:
- internal selection criteria (60%) - baseline is the average grade of the HZB, if additional subject-specific selection criteria are met, the average grade can be improved (proficiency grade). If the number of study places per study course is insufficient, then there will be marginal ranks, the so-called NC values, after the selection process has finished.
- Level of qualification (20%) - Average grade of the higher education entrance qualification (HZB)
- Waiting time (20%) - as a rule, the number of half-years after the acquisition of the HZB less study semesters at German universities
The local NC varies from year to year depending on the applications received and the degree program.
