Учебный план программы обучения "Business Administration and Social Management"

The Business Administration and Social Management (BS) course offers you well-founded basic knowledge of modern business administration, a solid basis for the business administration specialization in the main course to solve complex and diverse challenges in the social sector as well as the attractive additional qualificationsocial management with a focus on health and care management, family and youth, senior citizens and emergency services as well as civil protection.

Basic and advanced studies (1st to 4th semester)

The basic course imparts a sound basic knowledge of modern business administration. The modules that build on each other deal with the methodology of business administration and economics, as well as with accounting, business mathematics and statistics, business informatics, law and financial management/controlling/taxes.

In addition to the courses, there are excursions that combine theory and practice in a meaningful way. Case studies, simulations and projects with partners from the field offer the opportunity to gain practical experience at an early stage.

Practical semester (5th semester)

In the practical semester, you will gain experience in the company in order to apply what you have learned in the first semester and also to learn new things. Here you can already make contacts in the social sector for future job searches.

The practical semester also includes preparatory and follow-up events, support in finding an internship, a large and constantly updated internship exchange, promotion of emotional intelligence and a preparatory seminar on project management. In addition, communication and behavior are trained to prepare you for the demands of everyday work.

Advanced studies and bachelor thesis (6th semester)

In the main course, specifics of the social sector are taught and subjects already taught from the basic course are applied and transferred in relation to the social sector. Here you also have the opportunity to specialize again in the area of work that is most attractive to you, e.g. human resources management, health management or business analyses.

You will also work on case studies and deal with questions of starting a business (NPO or social start-up?) in the compulsory subject of the main seminar on social management.

You complete your studies with your bachelor thesis, which can be written in a company or purely scientifically and is supervised and graded by a professor of the course.

Here you will find the selection criteria from which your individual value number is determined:

• The average grade of the university entrance qualification (HZB) serves as the basis for determining the number of values relevant for admission
• A recognized and completed commercial, administrative, social, nursing or medical vocational training leads to an overall improvement in the value of 0.4
• Special extracurricular achievements in the social field can also lead to a maximum improvement in the value of 0.2

Special extracurricular achievements:

• Voluntary social year
• Program-specific full-time job
• Permanent voluntary work in a club or association
