The course introduces a compulsory semester abroad in the sixth semester for the 2019/2020 winter semester. You will spend a semester at one of our 87 partner universities in 37 countries with a secure crediting of the work done there.

In the fifth semester of study, you will get to know the application of the course content in the company in the practical semester. In the sixth semester you will complete a compulsory semester abroad at one of our numerous partner universities.

Approximately 70% of the lectures are identical in all business administration courses, this mainly concerns general business administration, economics, law and quantitative methods. 30% of the lecture time is reserved for teaching the course content of the major, but not evenly distributed over the entire period of study, but concentrated in the higher semesters.

What am I learning?

In addition to a deep understanding of marketing and corporate communication, the course focuses on the psychological foundations of marketing communication. Expertise in advertising psychology is the decisive resource for designing your own messages in such a way that the target group is reached and the intended effect is developed. In this context, the media play a crucial role in conveying corporate messages. Companies communicate with the help of media and there is a great need for knowledge about media effects and media reception in order to assess media performance.

Current developments are also included in this area, such as the digitization of the media world (internet, television, mobile applications etc.), which significantly expand the possibilities of corporate communication. It is all the more important to understand how these developments influence the behavior and perception patterns on the part of the recipient.

In this respect, this course forms an interface between economics, communication / media studies and psychology.

    Emerging from the Fachhochschule für Wirtschaft (FHW), the Pforzheim Business School has been offering young people a profound economic education with a high level of academic sophistication for more than 50 years. Since 1963 our faculty has been laying the foundation for many successful careers of our graduates. With over 3500 students, 675 new students per year and 97 professors, we are the largest faculty at the Pforzheim University.     Методика оценки заявок

    First, a weighted overall HZB grade is formed, which is determined as follows:

    • Average grade of the university entrance qualification = 50%
    • Individual grades for university entrance qualification in mathematics = 30%
    • Individual grades for university entrance qualification in English = 20%

    A weighted grade in the selection process is then determined as follows:

    • the weighted overall HZB grade = 70%
    • the result of the study ability test = 30%.
      However, the result of the study ability test is only taken into account if the test result is better than the average grade of the university entrance qualification. If the result of the test procedure is worse than the average grade of the university entrance qualification, the average grade of the university entrance qualification counts instead. The same applies if the result of the test procedure is not available.
      The weighted grade can therefore never be worsened by the study ability test.
