The interdisciplinary programme provides students with basic knowledge of business, economics, and business and economics education. Students can specialize depending on their discipline of study in the field of Business and Economics (Studienrichtung I), or in one of the following fields of General Education: Mathematics, Computer Sciences, German, English, French, Protestant Religion, Catholic Religion, Ethics/Philosophy or History (Studienrichtung II).

Описание программы обучения "Business and Economics Education"

Students have to choose courses from compulsory optional modules according to their main field of study, e.g. Business and Economics Education, Management and Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Operations and Logistics Management, Environmental Management and Energy Economics, Learning and Human Resources Management, Transport Economics, Economic Policy and Political Economy, Financial Economics and Global Markets. In addition, they have to choose modules from the complementary area Business Sciences: Business Informatics, Statistics and Econometrics, and Commercial languages. The study programme ends with writing a research-oriented Bachelor thesis.

The programme aims at preparing students to identify business and economics problems, to analyse these scientifically and to work out solutions.

After completing their studies, graduates have the opportunity to join the master's degree in business education.

There are also a variety of possible uses

in company training and further education
in educational counseling
in adult education or
in various commercial-administrative departments of companies (esp. personnel)

With a degree II, it is possible to complete a legal clerkship after the master’s degree and to teach at a vocational school.

The course has a modular structure, includes an internship of at least 4 weeks at a vocational school and concludes with the bachelor thesis. The university degree "Bachelor of Science" (B.Sc.) is awarded.

There are courses I and II to choose from.

Degree I is oriented towards economics. Degree II combines economic and general education content and includes the choice of a qualification.

The course is divided into a compulsory and an elective area. The compulsory area is geared towards both economics and business education. In the compulsory elective area, the student can choose focus areas from different areas.

The compulsory area of both courses includes:

Basics of Business Administration
Fundamentals of economics
Basics of business informatics
Mathematics
Statistics
Law
Pedagogical-psychological basics of teaching and learning
Introduction to business didactics
Fundamentals of commercial education and education policy
School practical studies and school internship
Bachelor thesis

In course II there is also a general qualification in the compulsory area from the following offer: mathematics, computer science, German, English, French, Protestant religion, Catholic religion, ethics / philosophy, history.

In the compulsory elective area of both fields of study, modules from the areas of business administration, economics and business education enable students to choose their own specialization.
