Business IT specialists develop and manage complex economic procedures and business processes. Information technology and telecommunications are increasingly intertwined - essential components that guarantee the success and growth of a modern company or organization. Accordingly, the need for specialists and qualified young people who are able to adapt to the interface management between business processes and information technology with its constantly changing requirements is also increasing.
As mediators between development and application, they must above all be equipped with basic specialist and methodological knowledge in the disciplines of business informatics, business administration, social sciences, law and economics and also have the know-how of a communicative team player. They offer solutions for entrepreneurial decisions, act as service providers for application companies and advise on questions of economic information processing and communication.

Graduates of the Business Informatics course receive the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree, an internationally recognized degree that entitles them to take up further study programs. You will find responsible work in companies and organizations in development-oriented professional fields such as web development, software programming or application (further) development. The areas of conception, planning and implementation as well as the management of complex IT projects to support operational business processes, e.g. B. as an application developer, application system consultant or IT manager, are potential fields of work.

For a semester or internship abroad, mobility windows are integrated into the curriculum in order to complete the course without losing time within the standard period of study.

The course is divided into a three-semester first stage (basic course) and a four-semester second stage (main course). The offer is supplemented by English-language subjects in both study phases. The integrated practical phase is planned for the sixth semester. The last semester is reserved for the bachelor thesis.
