Описание программы обучения "Business Information Systems"
Basic course content includes:
- Fundamentals and concepts of business informatics
- Fundamentals of business administration
- Software development
- Mathematical basics
- Social and organizational aspects of information and communication systems
- Commercial and private law as well as data protection
The course, which cannot be taken as a minor, is offered jointly by the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Business Administration.
In addition to the basic courses mentioned, individual priorities can be set through the large elective area and a project from business informatics practice. The project offers students the opportunity to select or create, practically apply and test methods, tools, models and software products for solving complex tasks.

With the bachelor's degree program, students acquire a first professional qualification. This gives them the opportunity to either apply the acquired qualifications directly in business or to deepen them in a subsequent master's degree course (e.g. business informatics or IT management and consulting). As a business IT specialist, work in the development, introduction and adaptation of information and communication systems, business consulting, professional IT management or the development of application systems is possible, among other things.

The six-semester bachelor's degree program is divided into compulsory, compulsory elective and elective modules.
- Compulsory module groups (modules to be completed):
- Business informatics (including basics of business informatics, internship, project, IT-supported design and modeling of organizations, bachelor's thesis)
- Computer science (including software development I and II, computer science in context)
- Economics (introduction to business administration, basics of corporate accounting)
- Mathematics (including discrete mathematics)
- Law (private commercial law, data protection)
- Proseminar
- Elective module groups:
- Computer science, e.g. algorithms and data structures, basics of databases and software engineering
- Business administration, e.g. balance sheets, investment and financing and introduction to economics, IT entrepreneurship and e-business
- Free elective area
