Программа обучения "Civil Engineering – Infrastructure, Water and Mobility" в University of Kaiserslautern

Bauingenieurwesen - Infrastruktur Wasser und Mobilität

The master’s program is directly linked to the content of the previous bachelor’s course with the subject-specific specialization “Infrastructure and Environmental Planning”. In the compulsory area, fundamental topics in the areas of "water", "transport" and "construction and infrastructure management" are deepened. The ability to work independently and scientifically is strengthened with the interdisciplinary events “Scientific Methods”, “GIS as a Planning Instrument” and the “Interdisciplinary Project Work” module. Would you like to set a thematic focus in the master’s course? In the newly designed course, you have the opportunity to develop a profile. The study profile "Water" deepens topics of hydromechanics, urban water management, wastewater treatment or near-natural hydraulic engineering. Digital data processing is also dealt with. Civil engineering has been represented at today's Technical University of Kaiserslautern since 1979 and has been an independent department since February 1st, 2011.

In addition to the subjects of civil engineering and facility management , the department also offers the partial courses in civil engineering and wood technology for teaching at vocational schools as well as the further education in fire protection planning. The department is supported in teaching and research by 15 full-time professors and junior professors. The excellent mentoring relationship that our almost 1,000 students find in Kaiserslautern is regularly confirmed by top positions in university rankings.

The broad orientation of the department is also reflected in its research activities. Numerous research projects are carried out in our 15 specialist areas, which are supported by various international and national funding channels. We maintain partnerships with universities in other European and non-European countries, including Polytechnika Gdanska, Poland and Fuzhou University, PR China.

    Методика оценки заявок

150 assessment points (BWP) must be achieved for admission to the master’s course. The evaluation points are calculated from the proof of professional competence and the correlating credit points according to Table 1 of Appendix 2 and the grade of the professional university degree according to Table 2 of Appendix 2. A maximum of 40 CP can be used for proof of professional competence within the framework of the mathematical and natural science basics , within the framework of the respective subject-specific basics, a maximum of 30 CP can be brought in.

If less than 150 BWP are achieved, but at least 130 BWP, additional assessment points can be achieved through an interview to determine aptitude (up to 20 BWP) and / or by providing evidence of further course-related qualifications (max. 5 BWP per qualification). Course-related qualifications include, among others,

    1. Study and research stays abroad,
    2. Work experience and internships outside of studies and
    3. Outstanding professional achievements such as awards, prizes and scientific publications that lead to a special achievement.

If the bachelor's modules or comparable modules listed in Table 3 of Appendix 2 are not included in the proven professional skills, these can be specified as a condition (§ 2a).
