The study of computer science is divided into 3 sections:
- In the semesters 1 - 4, we teach you not only the necessary basics but also the most important profile-forming skills for the course. You are already well prepared for today's job market. The course content in the first four semesters is the same for all students.
- The semesters 5 - 6 serve to deepen and specialize in exactly those areas that particularly interest you. Here you can put together your own study plan from our extensive catalog of subjects.
- Im7. semester you can use the knowledge you have gained in an exciting project on the one hand and complete your bachelor thesis on the other.
After successfully passing the bachelor's exam, the Hof University will award you the academic degree Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).

Hof University of Applied SciencesComputer science basically has a cross-sectional character and thus significantly influences other knowledge disciplines. In particular, the influence on energy efficiency, economical use of resources and sustainability should be emphasized. Correspondingly, the content and work objectives of computer science are oriented towards the main objectives of the Hof University of Applied Sciences, including "Green Tech".
In order to bundle the research activities of the faculty, the Institute for Information Systems (iisys) was created as one of the first institutes at a university of applied sciences in Bavaria.
