In the age of digitalization and networking, computer science has become a fundamental science: it is now indispensable in business, research, medicine, mobility and communication. The systematic and automatic processing of information is the basis of all these applications. The bachelor's degree therefore covers all core areas of computer science: theoretical computer science, which deals with the complexity, decidability and modeling of issues; practical computer science, which develops solution concepts; and technical computer science, which deals with hardware.

Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Computer Science"
Computer science graduates are currently in high demand. This opens up a wide range of activities: the greatest demand is in traditional IT companies and currently in the automotive and electronics industries, but careers are also opening up in research and development, media, health, education or public service.
In which industries do computer scientists work?
Computer scientists work in all areas of society today. For example, they are employed as:
- Consultants
- Software developers and testers
- Web or app developers
- Project managers
- Database specialists
They support digitization processes, show companies new ways in data analysis or work in the field of human-machine interaction.
After completing their Master's degree, our graduates pursue the following activities (source: graduate survey 2017/2018):
- 61 percent research / development / science (both in research departments of companies and in universities and research institutions)
- 28 percent system support / software development / programming
- 6 percent production / manufacturing
- 6 percent consulting / business and economic consulting
The majority of our graduates find jobs in the following sectors:
- 21 percent research institutions
- 16 percent universities
- 32 percent software development
- 26 percent automotive and vehicle construction
- 5 percent mechanical engineering
The following applies: The industry you choose determines the content you deal with.
Example of medicine
Medicine in particular is a good example of how important IT is for other areas: the creation of a medical diagnosis is becoming increasingly automated - soon computers will increasingly support doctors in this process or even take over the process. Telemedicine requires appropriate technical equipment, programs must be designed and secure transmission over the network is required. Computers already control some surgical instruments. Minimally invasive procedures, i.e. operations in which the surgical instrument is only inserted into the body through a small incision, require appropriate technology to display the surgical area on screens - so that the surgeon can see where he is operating. The area of application for IT specialists is therefore growing rapidly in line with technical developments in all areas.
Учебный план программы обучения "Computer Science"
In the first year of study, you will be equipped with knowledge in the areas of practical, theoretical and technical computer science and mathematics. You will also learn to familiarize yourself with other areas independently. Therefore, all courses in the first two semesters are compulsory courses.
From the third semester onwards, you will deepen the basic knowledge acquired in the first semesters. You can also customise your studies by choosing different core modules. For example, you will find courses on computer organisation, the basics of information security or human-computer interaction. These courses are supplemented by two projects: the programming project and the Bachelor's research project. In these projects, you work in a team on a topic of your own choosing.

Методика оценки заявок
School selection criteria:
The sum of the points achieved in the high school diploma is divided: for high school diplomas with a maximum score of 900 points, the sum is divided by 30, for high school diplomas with a maximum score of 840 points, the sum is divided by 28 (max. 30 points).
Other selection criteria (maximum 5 points):
- completed vocational training in a mathematical, scientific or technical training profession or previous professional experience relevant to the course of study (even without completed training),
- practical activities that provide particular information about suitability for the course of study,
- extracurricular achievements and qualifications, e.g. prizes and awards.
Selection:
The points from the school achievements and the other achievements are added together (max. 35 points). A ranking list is created based on the score thus determined.
