Information technology is changing rapidly. Our study programme in Computer Science will prepare you to keep up with this development as you will gain a deeper understanding of the processes involved in computer science. You will study the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computer science and receive sound training in programming. Furthermore, your training will involve areas such as data mining, computer security, network analysis, computer graphics, software engineering, human-computer interactions and the analysis and visualization of data.

An internship is not mandatory, but highly recommended. The department cultivates good contacts with partner universities. In addition to this you have a wide choice of programmes, such as the Erasmus+ programme, to spend a semester abroad.

An internship is not mandatory, but highly recommended. We recommend our students to complete an internship of at least 2 months during the semester break. The department and the staff of the university’s Career Service are here to help you find a suitable placement.
Учебный план программы обучения "Computer Science"
In the basic course, you will initially attend mainly compulsory lectures to learn the basics of the subject.
These include "Concepts of Computer Science", "Algorithms and Data Structures", "Concepts of Programming", but also "Discrete Mathematics and Logic" and "Analysis and Linear Algebra". You can see an overview of all the courses in the basic course below in the diagram of the course structure.
In the advanced course, you have a lot of freedom of choice: "Data Science", "Visual Computing", "Interactive Systems" or you can put together your own focus.
Our mentoring program will support you in planning your advanced course!
In the supplementary area you will take a total of 21 credits:
12-15 credits are intended for taking other subjects - depending on your interests, attending courses in e.g. biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, psychology, sociology, sports science, linguistics or economics can lay the foundation for later professional specialization.
In addition, there are courses in the areas of writing (with a view to preparing the bachelor's thesis) and key qualifications, which are general skills for professional life and work organization.
