Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Drug Research"
The pharmaceutical industry is constantly looking for qualified young people. Due to the limited number of study places in Germany, the number of pharmacists is relatively small. In addition, a large proportion of pharmacists work in public pharmacies. This leaves only a small number for industry and research, and the job prospects for pharmacists, especially in the pharmaceutical industry, are excellent here. Industry colleagues are looking for pharmacists with appropriate qualifications in the fields of analysis, quality assurance and pharmaceutical technology. Due to their broad training, pharmacists are also very well suited for the preclinical development of drugs. However, they lack the experience with regard to independent scientific work. Experience in independent scientific work through the master’s course in drug research further increases the attractiveness.
Due to the comprehensive, very broad training, pharmacists can find very diverse fields of activity. In addition to the public pharmacy (employee, manager), pharmacists are in great demand in industry (production manager, control manager, development of new drugs), at universities and in hospital pharmacy. A doctorate in one of the pharmaceutical subjects opens up additional opportunities for pharmacists.

As part of the European Union's ERASMUS program, Kiel University has entered into partnerships with many European universities. There are also collaborations with partner universities in Asia and overseas. One or more semesters abroad are therefore possible.
There is also the possibility of doing an internship abroad.
Учебный план программы обучения "Drug Research"
The course consists of three compulsory modules each with 10 credit points and a master's thesis with 30 credit points. The compulsory modules have a total of 24 hours per week with a focus on instruction for scientific work, English for natural sciences, presentation of scientific results.
The students are looked after by a university professor as part of a mentoring program. By choosing a mentor, the students simultaneously choose one of the following five subject areas represented at Kiel University:
- Clinical Pharmacy,
- Pharmacology and Toxicology,
- Pharmaceutical Biology,
- Pharmaceutical / Medicinal Chemistry,
- Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy.
The master's thesis will be written in the chosen subject.
The standard period of study for the single-subject master’s degree in drug research is 2 semesters.
