Описание программы обучения "Economics and Engineering"
The programme consists of mandatory modules and mandatory electives. There are two versions of the programme which differ in the mandatory electives (135). In the programme “Standard”, students have to choose modules in economics (at least 45 ECTS) as well as modules in engineering (at least 45 ECTS). In the programme “International”, students have to choose modules in economics (at least 35 ECTS), modules in engineering (at least 35 ECTS) as well as studies at a foreign university (at least 20 ECTS). Graduate industrial engineers can work in a variety of industries after graduation. Leadership in industry is just as possible as in the retail, consumer goods and services sectors.
Industrial engineers often work in interdepartmental positions in the areas of logistics, marketing and sales, materials management, product management, accounting, controlling as well as production and company management.

The course has a modular structure, is divided into basic and advanced studies and concludes with the diploma thesis.
The undergraduate study program comprises 4 semesters and, in the compulsory area of economics, includes the basics of business administration, economics, business informatics as well as mathematics, statistics and quantitative methods.
In addition, the compulsory area of engineering as well as a compulsory elective area of engineering, which includes the areas of electrical engineering, engineering mechanics and technical deepening, must be documented.
The main course covers 6 semesters and includes compulsory and elective courses. Subject of the compulsory area are methodical foundations, an internship and the research seminar.
In the elective area, the student can choose modules from the following main areas:

Bitte beachten Sie: Zum 01.01.2012 wurden diese durch das Goethe-Zertifikat C2 - Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom abgelöst. Zeugnisse, die bis zum 31.12.2011 ausgestellt wurden, berechtigen nur zur Teilnahme an der DSH Prüfung.
