Описание программы обучения "Electrical and aerospace engineering"

In order to meet the requirements of an activity at the interface between technology and management, the graduates have a broad and integrated expertise in the field of system design and system integration using the example of avionics. As special features, the program offers practice-oriented content from the first semester.

The basics of aircraft management include basic flight maneuvers and procedures in the cockpit, which are taught on an aircraft and in cooperation with a flight school, the possibility to obtain the pilot's license (partially fee) and a modern flight simulator for practicing emergency and routine situations (free).

In the topic of multicopter and model aircraft you will learn how to build and control drones and how to avoid airspace injuries.

Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Electrical and aerospace engineering"

The study of electrical and aerospace engineering qualifies for a wide range of activities in engineering and project management for large and small companies in the aerospace and automotive industries, as well as suppliers, service providers, industry-related companies and authorities.

However, you can also continue your pilot training after your studies and work as a professional pilot or flight instructor. The flight hours and authorizations completed during your studies can be credited for this.

Учебный план программы обучения "Electrical and aerospace engineering"

In the first semesters of the program, all basics and competencies of general electrical engineering are taught.

In addition, the module Fundamentals of Aircraft Management takes place during this time. In addition to the cooperation with a flight school, the university offers its own Cessna 172 aircraft and a modern flight simulator. For students who already have a pilot's license (LAPL, PPL or higher), this module will be dropped.

Starting in the fourth semester, the knowledge of students in important fields of electrical and aeronautical engineering will be deepened. For example, events are offered on the topics of general aviation technology, sensor technology, functional safety, aircraft system technology and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and multicopters. In addition, quality management and soft skills are taught.

The degree program is completed by an aeronautical engineering project, a comprehensive work experience and the bachelor's thesis in the 8th semester.

    Faculty of Engineering
    RheinMain University of Applied Sciences

In 2006, the Faculty of Engineering was re-established as an independent department at our university, in order to meet future requirements for a modern study.

Due to the increasing intermeshing of individual disciplines such as natural sciences, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, modern engineering today offers numerous opportunities at the interfaces of various technical disciplines. As a result of the growing interdisciplinary nature, the "classical" job descriptions are also changing towards new fields of activity. The new occupational requirements are characterized, on the one hand, by a convergence of science and technology and, on the other, by interdisciplinarity: If beneficial processes and technologies are to be developed on the basis of the latest scientific findings, individual technical disciplines must no longer be considered in isolation, but must intermesh. As a Department of Engineering we are committed to our goal to combine interdisciplinary and application-oriented development with the best teaching in modern Bachelor's and Master's programs.

The internet presence of our department gives you a first overview of our fields of study as well as an outlook on fascinating and varied activities. Perhaps you are discovering a perspective for your future, an area that suits your abilities and inclinations and that you can inspire. Then I would be glad to see you soon at our university.
