The job opportunities for electrical engineers are extremely diverse. In this context, the electrical and electronics industry ranks first. As electrical technology is a key technology of numerous fields of engineering, electrical engineering is closely linked in many ways to industries such as mechanical engineering, the aerospace industry, the automotive industry and medical engineering. Other potential employers of electrical engineers are companies in the field of information and communications technology, in power engineering, and in automation engineering. Moreover, a significant number of graduates choose the path of doctoral studies at a university or a research institute for their career start.

The study programme is research as well as practice-oriented. Within the framework of laboratory internships, theoretical knowledge is tried and tested in practical applications throughout the entire programme.
Учебный план программы обучения "Electrical Engineering and Information Technology"
In the first four semesters, the students undergo a broad scientific education in the fundamental modules of the field.
Starting with the fourth semester, students select one of six areas of specialisation: Automatic Systems (AUT), Computer-Aided Electrodynamics (CED), Computer Engineering (DT), Electrical Power Engineering (EET), Communication and Sensor Networks (KTS), Sensors, Actuators and Electronics (SAE).
Apart from subject-specific qualifications, the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology Bachelor’s programme also comprises interdisciplinary competences such as project management, languages, and business studies.
