Almost all aspects of life benefit from their expertise.Electrical Engineering/Electronics in Information Technology. Information and Communication technology is a central discipline in electrical engineering and electronics. New analog and digital fast and efficient transmission technologies are the key to communication technologies. Engineers of Electrical Engineering and Electronics work on furthering this development.Electrical Engineering/Electronics in Automation. Automation is one of the technologies in electrical engineering, within our industrial society, that has been expanding enormously. Basic Studies In the first three semesters, the students learn professional and natural science basics. This part is compulsory for all students of this program. Typical lectures in this part cover electrical engineering and electronics, digital circuits and computer technology. A sound training in different aspects of programming also takes place in this part of the study.Practical semester The fifth semester is a practical semester, which students complete in an industrial company working independently on an assignment from the field of electrical engineering.Major fields of studyCommunication Technology deals with the transmission, communication and processing of information. Given the global growth of the telecommunications sector, it will continue to play a key role in globalized economy and industry.Power Engineering / Automation engineering Automation engineering has virtually become the symbol of the modern production industry. Nowadays, industrial societies are determined by global competition. University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-WeingartenInformation processing is very important at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Starting with hardware in electrical engineering, programming in computer science and e-commerce in business information technology, the faculty covers all aspects of information processing.
The faculty's spectrum is supplemented by a didactic / pedagogical component through the two industrial teacher training courses in electrical engineering / physics PLUS teaching position I and business informatics PLUS teaching position I.
Another strength of the faculty is its international orientation. This is reflected in the English-language Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and electromobility and two international master's programs in mechatronics and electrical engineering.
