Hotel and restaurant management at Heilbronn University is above all a business administration course, which means that a large part of the events and modules deal with economic content. Building on this, specialist knowledge is added in the course of the course, i.e. modules in the area of ​​hotel management and restaurant management.

During the course, there is a varied mixture of attendance phases, self-study times and practical experience in the context of field trips or guest lectures in companies in the hospitality industry.

The course is divided into a two-semester basic course and a five-semester main course. This provides for an optional semester abroad and a practical semester, although the practical semester can also be completed abroad. During this time, the students work for a company in the hotel or catering industry for 26 weeks and get to know, among other things, everyday business.

The students choose one of the five foreign business languages ​​English, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic. Alternatively, business specializations such as International Financial & amp; Marketing Accounting, International Finance, International Human Resource Management, International Marketing or the Studium Generale can be selected. Finally, in the last subject semester, the scientific thesis, the bachelor thesis, is created.
