They are used wherever the classic knowledge of engineers or business people alone is no longer sufficient. Typical fields of application are interfaces between production and logistics, purchasing, sales of technical products and project management. In the three-semester master's degree in industrial engineering at the HTW Berlin, you expand your basic knowledge from your bachelor's degree with scientific and analytical methods. This applies to both the theoretical foundation and the practical application of knowledge. The international orientation is part of the profile of the degree program: you will be taught an international perspective in numerous subjects. This also applies to the elective courses offered. Admission is based on existing capacity by lottery. In addition, excursions into the international environment are offered, e.g. to China, the USA, India or Great Britain. After graduation, you will have management positions in technical companies. In the project study of the master's program in industrial engineering, current issues are dealt with independently by the students. In the first two semesters you deepen the basics of technology and business administration, which you already acquired during your bachelor's degree. A project takes place in the second semester. Методика оценки заявок
The study places are allocated according to the following selection criteria:
a) The average grade of the first academic degree as factor X1,
b) the result of the practical work experience in relation to the program content of the consecutive master’s degree in industrial engineering after the first academic degree as factor X2 and
c) the weighted assessment of the subject of the previous course, which provides information about the subject-specific motivation and suitability as factor X3
