Industrial engineers can expect a wide range of lectures, internships, exercises and projects from the following areas:
The subject area economy deals with with the basics of business administration, marketing, cost and performance accounting, corporate management, controlling, finance, project management, entrepreneurship, law and languages in the form of lectures, exercises and projects.
In the area of technology, i.a. Basics in the fields of physics, mechanics, electrical engineering, materials science, CAD, production technology, Industry 4.0, environment and energy in the form of lectures, exercises and laboratory work.
Lectures, exercises and laboratories are offered for the IT area. deal with the topics of mathematics, basic programming, databases, production control and planning with SAP, information and communication technologies, digitalization of the economy and production simulations.
1.-4. Semester
In the first and second semester, the basic knowledge of business, technology and IT is laid. In the third and fourth semester you can - depending on your preferences - deepen your knowledge through electives in business, technology or IT or go abroad at our partner university. This enables you to develop your individual profile as an industrial engineer at an early stage.
Practice semester
In the practical semester you can test your knowledge in companies and choose a company based on your inclination. Gather practical experience and use the time to check yourself whether you like this job.
6th-7th Semester
The 6th semester serves to deepen your profile as an industrial engineer. You can choose between three options:
- Energy and mobility
- Digital economy
- Digital production
- Advanced Materials - Products and Innovations
In the 7th semester, electives are again offered and the final thesis is created.
