So that our world runs smoothly, the need for intelligent solutions is great everywhere. Whether complex logistical systems or the challenge of raw material and energy management - all these are the tasks of industrial engineers.
The course closes the gap between economics and technology and trains managers who consider structures and processes as a whole and who align various operational forces with common goals. Industrial engineers are able to develop technical concepts, evaluate them economically and implement them for the company as well as realistically assess the effects of decisions on operations, employees and the environment.

Due to the interdisciplinary academic training, graduates are neither material nor sector-specific and very flexible in their choice of profession - a crisis-proof requirement for the job market. Career entry is possible in almost all areas of industry and the public service.
Graduates will find professional areas of activity in small, medium-sized and large companies in industry, trade and transport, in consulting and insurance companies, in public authorities and utility companies. The industrial engineer is an employee and superior in the line, a consultant on the staff, but also in business functions. His competence in consulting, planning, design and control of technical and economic systems of a company leads him, for example, to fields of activity in marketing, sales, procurement, work preparation, production, materials management, logistics, quality control, safety and the environment. Industrial engineers are some of the most sought-after graduates on the job market.

A practical semester in the private sector.
Some qualified students are given the opportunity to work on demanding industrial tasks in small working groups in the 4th and 5th semester (5th = internship semester).
Учебный план программы обучения "Industrial Engineering"
The bachelor's degree has a standard study time of seven semesters. It comprises six theoretical and one practical practical semester. The practical semester takes place in the 5th semester.
By the end of the first semester, the examinations in the module materials technology, module construction 1, module technical mechanics and module mathematics 1 must be taken for the first time. Furthermore, the exams in the Physics module and in the Business Basics module must be taken for the first time by the end of the second semester. If students exceed these deadlines for reasons for which they are responsible, the corresponding exams are considered to have been taken for the first time and not passed.
Only those who have passed all examinations of the first year of study with one exception, achieved at least 80 credit points and completed the preliminary internship are entitled to enter the practical phase of the practical study semester.
Students can choose one of the following majors:
- Industrial technology
- Logistics
- Technical sales and purchasing
- Raw material and energy management
The major must be chosen in the 3rd month of the 5th semester at the latest.
The course concludes in the 7th semester with the bachelor thesis.

In the context of research and development projects as well as numerous industrial project work, we practice close ties with regional and national companies. We have our finger on the pulse!
Currently around 600 students, 12 employees and 14 professors are committed to continuing the success story of "Industrial Engineering in Rosenheim".
