As a graduate in industrial engineering, you have extensive technical skills in engineering and business administration. On the one hand, you are familiar with materials, construction processes and production technology functions. This enables you to assess, plan and optimize manufacturing processes from an engineering perspective. On the other hand, you can calculate costs for personnel, machines, transport and materials, develop sales and marketing strategies or create business plans and balance sheets. With your diverse knowledge, you are the link between technology and business and coordinate different cross-departmental interests. This increases the efficiency and productivity of a company and supports management in decision-making.
You have also qualified for a master's degree, whether it's the one we offer or one at another university in Germany or abroad.

Undergraduate studies
1. - 3rd semester: Basic knowledge, e.g. B. Engineering Mechanics, Business Mathematics, Investment and Finance
Professional studies
4. - 6th semester: Deepening of practical knowledge, e.g. B. Energy technology, automotive technology, supply chain management
Internship & Bachelor thesis
7. Semester: 12-week internship in Germany or abroad and 9-week thesis
The Industrial Engineering degree course provides you with a broad basic knowledge of mathematics, engineering and business administration. This is expanded to include practice-related specialist knowledge of your major. With the numerous elective modules on offer and the choice of one specialization each, you can design your specialist studies individually according to your professional intentions. In the internship you will test the knowledge you have acquired. You will also acquire process skills as well as legal and methodical knowledge.

Dresden University of Applied SciencesIn addition to the basic bachelor's degree courses, students can subsequently acquire in-depth knowledge in three consecutive master's degree courses and one advanced master's degree course. The faculty is home to the Centre for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Research Institute, the Centre for Interdisciplinary Education and the University's start-up forge. The faculty places particular emphasis on the needs of small and medium-sized businesses, the teaching of interdisciplinary skills and internationalisation.
