Описание программы обучения "International Business Administration"

As a sub-discipline of economics, business administration deals with the economic activity of companies, ie with those processes that take place in companies and lead from them to other market players as well as to the macroeconomic, social, political, legal, technological and ecological environment . The scientific goal of business administration is to capture these processes empirically and to find explanations that are as general as possible from which practical recommendations for action can be derived. The representatives of Bamberg's business administration also feel connected to this goal.

With the course "International Business Administration" a further sharpening of the profile of Bamberg Business Administration towards a global orientation is achieved. At the Bachelor's and Master's level, the course focuses on the requirements of an internationally networked economy and work in a global organization.

The development of the world economy is characterized by increased global integration and intense competition. For graduates, this results in the need to adapt to these new requirements through diverse language skills, intercultural skills and a specific, university education in economics.

In the "International Business Administration" course, this development is taken into account through well-founded teaching in the sub-areas of economics and foreign languages. In addition to qualified basic training, the course can be deepened in specific subject areas. This can be done according to interests, talents and professional goals. Students can also orientate their studies on an interdisciplinary basis in order to set up their economic profile across a broad spectrum.

Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "International Business Administration"

Markets are global today and many companies are therefore active internationally. For the German economy, exports and imports are just as important as having a presence abroad through e.g. sales offices, logistics centers, procurement offices or production facilities. For the associated tasks, employees are required who have not only acquired comprehensive business, but also linguistic and cultural skills in order to cope with these tasks in a targeted and successful manner.

The international economy offers graduates of our international business studies interesting professional challenges and opportunities: responsibility for foreign business partners, posting to a branch of a company or their own professional path in other countries in order to develop professionally in companies.

The Bamberg IBWL prepares you optimally for work in such internationally active companies, but also in other organizations with international tasks in which economic thinking that goes beyond national requirements is very much in demand.

In addition to business start-ups and self-employment, activities in banks, insurance companies, (online) trade, (advertising) agencies, market research companies and in many areas of industry are also possible. Associations, NGOs or international organizations such as the EU and the UN can also be considered as a Bamberg graduate.

The international specialization geared towards the labor market enables interesting fields of activity in various functional areas of the company, such as controlling, finance, sales and marketing, human resources, but of course also in organization, logistics, accounting, tax consulting, supply chain management and innovation management.

Bamberg's business administration is particularly characterized by its strong international orientation in several business fields. International issues are taken up in numerous courses in the bachelor's and master's degree and are firmly anchored in the research profiles of the chairs. Examples include topics such as international corporate taxation and corporate finance, international marketing, controlling and international personnel management, as well as international innovation strategies. In terms of content, there is a focus on Europe and globalization, as already described in the profile of the entire faculty: international management issues, international economic relations (integrated in the economic bachelor's and master's degree programs “European Economic Studies”), international political science, European law and a Graduate college on the topic of “Markets and social spaces in Europe”.

The faculty cooperates closely with a large number of other universities around the world, not just in the European language area. The curricula in the IBWL course provide for a compulsory, integrated, two-semester study abroad program. We also recommend completing the mandatory six-month internship abroad as well. A wide range of foreign business languages should not be missing; In the IBWL course you are required to take two of the following foreign business languages: Business English, Business French, Business Italian, Business Russian or Business Spanish.
