The International Economics (IVWL) is primarily aimed at those students who are particularly interested in the economic relations between Germany and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. In addition to economic competence, language skills are also taught in Central or Eastern European languages. The analytically well-founded training as an economist qualifies you to enter many economic fields in the private and public sector. Economists work in companies, associations, economic research institutes, ministries and authorities, universities, in business journalism or in international organizations.
The focus of the course “International Economics (MOE)” is primarily aimed at fields of activity related to the Central and Eastern European countries.

In the first phase of studies (semesters 1-3) there are basic courses in economics (VWL), business administration (BWL) and quantitative Basics also to take language courses in a Central or Eastern European language.
The second study phase (semester 4-6) consists in addition to the compulsory focus "International Economics" above all in the focus "Central and Eastern Europe", which includes courses with a corresponding regional focus from one of the following three disciplines: history and cultural studies, political science, Law.
