Программа обучения "International Engineering and Management" в Landshut University of Applied Sciences

Internationales Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen

More and more companies are active abroad. They export, maintain sales structures in other countries, procure upstream products internationally, operate production networks with sites in several countries, manage the corresponding cross-border logistics and set up centres for applications engineering, research and development that are close to the customer. More and more, these companies are maintaining international value creation structures, or they are at least a part of them. In future, alongside the economically developed countries of the EU, North America and South East Asia, Germany's partner countries will increasingly be the emerging economies of China, India, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

Учебный план программы обучения "International Engineering and Management"

The Bachelor's degree programme includes six theoretical and one practical semester, of which at least one semester is abroad. A total of 210 ECTS points are acquired. The programme has a modular structure. The modules in the 1st to 4th semesters convey the basics of engineering and business administration plus their interrelationships and international application. Every semester includes at least one subject-specific module in English. The 4th semester is followed by the practical study semester plus two theoretical semesters of specialisation, including the Bachelor's thesis in English. At least one of these three semesters is completed in a foreign-language environment abroad. In the two theoretical semesters, mandatory electives enable students to individually tailor their study profile. Students select modules offering 10 ECTS points each from the "Engineering", "Business Administration" and "Integration" module groups, plus 5 ECTS points from the "Internationalisation" module group. A total of 14 ECTS points must be obtained through English and a second foreign language (e.g. French, Spanish); Chinese as a second foreign language is particularly encouraged. The language training takes the existing knowledge of the students into account. In order to allow foreign placements to be planned as flexibly as possible, the sequence of the three final semesters is not stipulated. Equally, the timing of the modules in English and the second foreign language can be tailored to the destination country of the semester abroad.
