The program is divided into a qualification module and three focus modules that can be chosen from the various fields of biology (biochemistry, bioinformatics, biophysics, botany / plant sciences, evolutionary biology and molecular ecology, genetics, microbiology, molecular human biology, molecular cell biology). and developmental biology, neurobiology, ecology and conservation, zoology). A specialization module can be replaced by an elective module (Bioorganic Chemistry, Human Genetics, Immunology, Medical Microbiology). In the qualification module interdisciplinary and pre-vocational key qualifications are imparted, in particular presentation and discussion of scientific facts, social relevance of biological research and subject-specific foreign language skills.

The master's program serves to deepen scientific knowledge and is stronger than the bachelor's degree in research. It comprises 4 semesters and is divided into 4 modules, 1 qualification module and 3 focus modules. At the end there is the master examination (3 oral examinations in the main modules), which includes the writing of a master thesis in the 4th semester.

Participating subjects: Elective modules in the field of chemistry and medicine are possible.
